The love of art was instilled in her as a young child, being the daughter of Wanda Locke, a well-known artist of Stone Mountain, Georgia. She worked for many years alongside her mother, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience in oil and mural painting. As a youth, Debbie met and worked under Margaret Ratcliff, who mentored her in the art of enamel on copper. Debbie has evolved her craft into diverse levels, enabling her to please the most eclectic collectors. Her expert eye for color coupled with her attention to detail in her glass work and enamels makes for stunning, unique pieces that are awe-inspiring. She enjoys mentoring up-and-coming artists and has taught many stained glass and enamel workshops throughout her career.
